How Much Education Do You Need to Get a Job in Business Administration?
Many prospective business majors wonder what level of education is necessary to get a good job in business administration. Many employers will look for an Associate’s degree. Some employers may be looking for candidates with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (BBA) or Master’s of Business Administration (MBA), or equivalent experience.
You should always research each employer and the jobs they are posting, as the ideal business management candidate will have different qualifications in different organizations.
Generally, a business management position will require at least an Associate degree, and more advanced positions may require a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree.
Earning a Business Administration Degree Online at MTI College
MTI College offers a variety of Business Administration degree programs, all of which are in our OnlinePlus format. In the OnlinePlus classes, most of the coursework can be completed online, with minimal required days in-classroom at our Sacramento campus.
Our flagship Business Administration degree is an Associate’s degree program that prepares students for roles within mid-sized companies. Students learn a strong foundation of business management, marketing, human resources, finances, and other essential business management skills.
In our A.A. Business Administration with a Concentration in Accounting degree program, students learn general administrative skills as well as a diversified background in business management principles. The curriculum focuses on accounting, payroll, spreadsheets, and databases – the program also teaches business management, entrepreneurship, marketing, and human resources.
Like the two programs mentioned above, our Business Administration with a Concentration in Medical Billing and Coding Degree program is an Associates degree program. Students learn principles and best practices of management, human resources, finance, and marketing, giving them the ability to analyze issues and problems in office management. The curriculum also includes medical terminology with anatomy and physiology, medical insurance billing, electronic health records, and procedural medical coding.
