Why Choose AWS Training at Campus vs Alternatives

Why Choose AWS Training at Campus vs Alternatives

If you want to pursue a career in information technology or cloud computing, and you’re researching AWS training courses, you’ve probably noticed something.

Many of the courses you’ll find in search engine results are self-paced, DIY courses, where you are paying for access to a video library.

Or, you may find “bootcamp” style learning experiences in your local area that are 3 to 5 days long.

Then, there may also be junior colleges in your area that have IT training programs, where you may learn AWS, receive training for CompTIA certifications, or other information technology training.

Choosing a learning path may be a difficult choice, when so many different types of options exist.

Each of these has their pros and cons, but ultimately, you’re paying for a quality of learning experience. Every one of the options we listed above are vastly different in their delivery and level of support.

Below are some compelling reasons why our IT students have chosen Campus, formerly known as MTI College, to provide their AWS training over the other options that exist.

Live class meetings with an instructor and other students

Campus offers more than recorded video lessons. Got a question? A Campus instructor can help you out as you work through each class.

Instead of leaving you to work out questions on your own, or rushing through your questions in a 3-day course, the faculty at Campus can take the time to help you understand how AWS works.

You get what you pay for. Video courses are a passive form of learning, and if you learn better by doing hands-on work, and getting one-on-one help from an instructor, our AWS training programs give you the room to learn cloud computing concepts in great detail.

Instructors are certified in AWS technologies

Our information technology instructors know what is needed to pass the AWS certification exams. Some online courses do not adhere to the high standards set at Campus.

The faculty has the expertise to teach you everything you need to know to pass the AWS certifications and work with cloud technologies. Tech bootcamps or online video courses do not always have the seal of approval from Amazon Web Services.

Campus curriculum is built upon exclusive materials offered by AWS Academy

Students can learn from labs and lessons generated directly by the source, the AWS team. Campus students have access to learning materials unavailable elsewhere.

Since 2019, Campus has been one of the only junior colleges in California offering AWS Academy approved programs. MTI College’s Cloud Administration program was among the first cloud computing Associate Degree programs in the country. AWS Academy curriculum is developed and maintained by AWS subject matter experts, ensuring it is up to date and reflects current services and best practices. Courses are taught by AWS Academy accredited educators who are trained by AWS to help students become proficient in AWS technology. These programs help students start careers in the rapidly growing cloud computing space and help them pursue industry-recognized AWS Certifications.

More time to immerse and gain complete understanding

If you’re new to AWS cloud computing, Campus can help you build confidence and competency through a series of interconnected lessons. You won’t rush through the content – we aim for our graduates to be able to apply their skills in the workplace.

Instead of teaching yourself via short video course, Campus helps you understand the principles of cloud computing fully. Our instructors help you through every concept, so students have a deep grasp on the knowledge needed to work in cloud computing.

Go beyond a simple online completion certificate

At Campus, graduates can earn regionally-accredited Diplomas or Associate Degrees as the result of their studies. Campus graduates earn AWS certifications AND earn a diploma or degree that can help land a job.
